IMAGINATION LEARNING CENTER provides imaginative themes and multi-sensory learning systems for reading, language arts, math, handwriting, and art. The programs incorporate visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile learning styles through interactive games to promote learning. These programs help individuals overcome learning difficulties such as: ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, children within the Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, and Brain Trauma. We offer individual tutoring and group classes for general needs and special needs kids.

CREATIVE WRITING:  Work on creative writing skills while exploring Ancient Egypt through the eyes of Archeology. Experience uncovering artifacts, mummify a chicken, investigate pyramid construction and of course, report your findings.

CREATIVE WRITING:  [NEW GROUP CLASS!]  MEDIEVAL KNIGHTS:  Hone your creative writing skills when you become all the characters in a game of chess.  Learn all about the medieval times including what the King’s court ate for dinner, how to make a castle, how to build a catapult, and have fun chronicling your experiences.

READING AND SPELLING: “Code Cracker Cases” covers phonics, spelling, handwriting, fluency, and comprehension using a detective theme.  Students are taught critical thinking and problem solving skills as they search for reading/spelling patterns in words.  Thus, the student eliminates the need to guess at words or to endlessly memorize words.  Students are motivated by playing highly interactive and physically active games – which allow them to apply their newly developed skills while having FUN!

LANGUAGE ARTS: “Construction Zone” is a complete writing and language arts program developed also using imaginative and interactive games. It covers grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, writing paragraphs, and essays.  Now that the student has learned the fundamentals of reading, they can have fun learning to write.

MATH: “Pursuit of Pirates and Mermaid Lagoon” is an interactive math program once again incorporating the highly effective game format that students, teachers, and parents enjoy.  This program makes everything from elementary math to algebra, and even calculus, fun and exciting.

HANDWRITING: “Handwriting Without Tears” Millions of students all over the world use Handwriting Without Tears. This easy-to-learn curriculum makes handwriting mastery joyful for students and their teachers using chalk, large magnets, hand motions, and more.

ART: In “Beautiful Worlds” kids (ages 5 and up), Teens, and Adults explore the visual world of shape, line, form, color, geometry, composition, and design with materials ranging from charcoal and chalk to collage and paint. All of our art students learn from the ideas of master artist’s throughout history and explore drawing from observation as well as from invention (working from their own imagination, memories, and visual experiments).

 

Who Benefits? Individuals (ages 5 and up) who need to move and use their imaginations to learn! Kids with special and general needs enjoy our individual and group sessions. All programs are adaptable to each individual or group’s needs and interests. Parents learn different approaches to learning along with their kids and Teachers also discover new ways to make learning fun and effective!
